Aims & Objectives

We aim to provide after school childcare  to primary school aged children (4 - 11) with good quality staff and a safe and enjoyable environment.

We will provide the service within their current school and it will be available to all primary aged children between the hours of 3pm and 5:45 pm Monday to Friday. 

We will  provide opportunities to develop children's and young people's confidence and independence.

We will achieve our objectives to give children quality child care allowing for cultural and individual needs through the use of great resources and planning.  Our child planning and resources will be developed based on the children we look after with regards to their individual needs. We will give children & parents the opportunity to shape the service and resources through feedback and engagement, such as circle time, comment and questionnaire..  We will reflect on the feedback and provide appropriate choices for resources, food and play to promote their independence.  

We will provide for the health, safety and wellbeing of the children in our care through robust record keeping including accidents, incidents, medication and others.  We will use our robust risk assessments, recruitment policy and regular evaluation.  Our Staff will be trained in safeguarding,  first aid, food and hygiene, and many others to ensure they are best placed for  the health, safety and wellbeing of the children in our care.  Our quality checks are logged daily, weekly and termly to ensure we have a checkable record to be able to evaluate the service and implement changes for the individual needs of our service users. Using the SIMOA approach means we are able to risk assess dynamically and minimise risk to the children. We will be fully insured with Public Liability Insurance & Employers Liability insurance and registered with the ICO, Care Inspectorate and Disclosure Scotland and partner with organisations such as the Local Authority, Play Scotland,  Scottish out of School Care network and others.
